Flight to Jogjakarta

10th of May 2017

We departed with Garuda Indonesia from Sultan Hasanuddin airport Makassar to Adisucipto airport Jogjakarta early morning using Bombardier CRJ-1000 aircraft. I had time to sketch inside the cabin that I colored later and also sketch of my delicious in flight breakfast meal. (steamed rice-chicken stew-vegetables and assorted tropical fruits) 

 

 

Trip to Java and Sketchbook Journal

At early of May, me and my family had opportunity to take a one week vacation to Jogjakarta and Surabaya. This holiday is fun because I have always wanted to visit the city of Jogjakarta. Moreover, finally I had the opportunity to visit Mount Merapi and Mount Bromo the two legendary mountains on the island of Java. I’m thinking to start a sketchbook journal for this trip. Before leaving I take time to sketch some of things that I brought on this trip on Misoro sketchbook that I bring along with me. Stay tune for more sketch of this trip !!

Volkswagen "Food Truck" at Losari Beach

When I was about to leave the Beach Platform of Losari, one unusual car caught my attention. It was a VW Kombi's car parked at the front entrance. A VW Kombi painted in black, fitted with a portable canvas tent is apparently used by its owner as "Food Truck". I do not know what this "walking restaurant" is selling because it is still closed that morning but it looks like drinks or snacks.
It's been very rare that Volkswagen Kombinationskraftwagen (maybe produced in late 70’s) can be found in the street and also is functioned as "Food Truck". I think is worth to sketch😁
